The only photography workshops run exclusively from woolsheds with ‘that girl who photographs sheep’.
These camera basics workshops not only fast track your path from amateur photographer to pro, they invite you to immerse yourself in the charm of the shearing sheds and the culture of the wool industry.
You will learn
Super sharp and fast focus
Perfect exposure in all different light
Intentional composition and image balance
Setting the tone and mood of images
Shooting in full manual mode (and keeping it there)
Blurring your background for pro portraits
Mastering shooting in natural light
Storytelling with simple shooting techniques
The classrooms are laid back and all the info is easy to digest. Each new skill is practiced straight away for plenty of hands on and confusion free learning. Pair that with individual set up of every single camera, for quick and easy shooting. Polished and purposeful imagery is only a shutter click away.
As much as the Wool Culture Photography Workshops are about teaching you everything you need to get started and polish your photography skills, it’s also about the experience.
Every workshop is fully catered with local goodies from the local rural town showcased and ready to be devoured all workshop long – at no extra cost. All the coffee and tea will also be waiting for you.
After the workshop is finished and you return home inspired and shooting emotive imagery in manual, the learning continues. Every workshop student is gifted with a 25 page camera basics booklet, covering everything learnt during the 4 hour workshop plus editing tips, workflow advice and recommendations on everything a photographer needs.
That’s not all! You will also have access to the closed Wool Culture Photography Workshop facebook group that is a growing community of past workshop students supporting and uplifting each other. Every week a new photography challenge is launched to keep you inspired and putting your newly learnt skills to practice, a live monthly Q+A, daily posts covering everything from buying a new camera, editing lessons, technical support – no topic is off limits.
