There’s no sugar coating, photoshopping or porky pies here, it’s just me travelling across Oz, camera in hand, armed with my decade of knowledge and experience in the wool industry (I’m also a masterclasser). I am bringing to you and anyone else who will listen stories from behind farm gates and woolshed doors. Bringing to light all of the on farm wool processes and laying to rest any misconceptions about Aussie sheep and wool.
Starting in 2017 and running until 2019 (a little bundle of joy’s arrival in March 2018 put the tour on hold temporarily) this mammoth project is the first of it’s kind. While blogs, photographs, videos and public seminars along the way aim to inform and entertain you, the end result will be a book that will proudly show off to the rest of the world why we are the leaders in wool.
I’m jumping out of my skin excited to be running this solo tour and if you are too, you can follow it all right here. Be inspired by the blog, ooh and aah over the tour photos and watch my travels in real time across my various social media accounts.
Various media publications have kindly supported the Tour by spreading the word through print and online newspapers. I am very grateful for their ongoing support over the years, and also of the Tour.
I am always on the hunt for more people and places to include in my tour. So, if you work in the industry – you could be a woolgrower, part of a shearing team, broker, ringer, retiree. You can be a big wig, quiet achiever or just starting out, I don’t care as long as wool is life for you. Please don’t be shy, contact me!
